UT-Austin's Compass workshop is designed to benefit undergraduates from historically underrepresented groups who are interested in pursuing philosophy. Philosophy, as a discipline, isn't diverse. The majority of professional philosophers, in other words, represent a small number of social identities.

 

UT-Austin's Compass workshop is an effort to begin to change that, both for the benefit of the discipline, and for the benefit of future philosophers themselves.
